Instead of the standard "White Crystal" used to power the world, Elliot harvests a Pure Violet Crystal, unlocking a dangerous power level of 300 points-a level the NEO claims is impossible and lethal.
Elliot must lead a dysfunctional squad of rookies-including the sweet but sheltered Brix Vance, daughter of the Spire's elite, and the arrogant Rank 1 rival Adrian Sterling-while hiding the truth about his power. As they go on "Harvest Missions" across the globe, from the irradiated ruins of the USA to the "Dark Zones" of South America, Elliot begins to uncover the diary's final secret:
