The Light of a Companion

Living with constant pain and exhaustion, Elin has learned to walk carefully through life-never too fast, never too far, and never enough. Her only companion is Nilla, her loyal little cat. But when Nilla leads her into the hills, Elin discovers Lioren, a wounded dragon. Bound by quiet strength, shared scars, and gentle courage, the three form an unlikely family.

This story is a depiction of what it's like to live with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and POTS. While it is a slight exaggeration of my symptoms, it is not far off from what a bad day looks like for me, and there are many people living with these conditions who experience symptoms equal to or greater than those described in this story.
