When a freak atmospheric river turns the Hollywood Hills into a mudslide zone, Buck finds himself prying open a car door not to rescue a victim, but to meet a woman who is more interested in her barometric pressure readings than her own safety.

As the weather in the city gets wilder, so does the tension between the firefighter who wants to protect the world and the meteorologist who wants to understand its fury.
