When Jade spots Harry from across the park she feels drawn to him. There's something about him that intrigues her to find out more about this green eyed boy. But then she comes back to reality and realizes she can't. Her mother wouldn't allow her to speak to a boy she hasn't met or approved of yet. That's how her mother was with many things. She told Jade what to wear, who to talk to, and what to eat. Jade wasn't allowed a say in her life and couldn't make any decisions. She became used to it and doesn't see a problem with it.
