Evermore is the name whispered in the legends, buried in the lies, of the supernatural world. The power held by Evelyn Evermore burns so bright, witches, vampires and werewolves join together to squeal at the name, beg it's no more than the fact it's a hollow legend of a star, who (for their sake) is nothing but a fraud. And even if the legend isn't hollow Evermore sure is, she was robbed of everything she loved 1219, she could never grasp back onto it at least that's what they think. But they'll find that out soon enough, after they uncover up all the secrets and lies the world has to offer.

Roisin Gold is barely holding herself together. Still reeling from her husband's murder while battling chronic illness and PTSD, even getting out of bed feels like a war. But the Billy Boys aren't finished with her yet, and neither Esmeralda nor Tommy are willing to take chances. For her safety, they send Roisin and her sons to London-to live under Alfie Solomons' protection. At first, Roisin resents her exile. But her frustration quickly turns to cunning when she notices Alfie, the infamous gangster, turning downright flustered around a sharp-witted jewellery store owner. Sensing an opportunity, Roisin strikes a deal-she'll help him win the girl if he convinces Tommy she's ready to go home. But the more time Alfie spends with Roisin, the less anyone else seems to matter. And the closer they get, the more their differences threaten to tear them apart-faith, culture, and the scars neither of them are ready to face. The Weight of Gold Series: Book 2
