THE INVINCIBLE IRON MAN

Tony Stark was coasting through life. As the brilliant and wealthy owner of Stark Industries, he made a fortune in the business of heavy arms manufacturing. Stark enjoyed all the trappings of success and privilege, unconcerned with the less fortunate. His life changes after nearly dying in a terror attack. The altercation left him injured, but he managed to survive and escape.
Set during the decade of the nineteen-nineties, this is a Generation X version of the Iron Man story. Following his near death experience, Tony Stark had an epiphany. To make a difference. To that end, he constructed a high tech suit of armor and dedicated his life to fighting evil. Proving that heroes aren't born, they're built, Tony Stark is Iron Man.

Mutants are real. Individuals born with uncanny powers and abilities exist and they are now known to the world. It has quickly become apparent that a dangerous conflict is on the horizon. One between mutants and the rest of humanity. Recent events have caused Senator Robert Kelly to continue his quest to enact the Mutant Registration Act. With 1996 being an election year in the United States, this issue is sure to dominate the headlines. Are mutants going to be able to live their lives in peace?
The world has become a safer place. In this Age of Heroes, Iron Man and the Avengers lead the way. In the last four years, numerous threats have been dealt with by the team. This has caused Tony Stark to breathe a sigh of relief. His concerns regarding ensuring the safety and security of the American people have been allayed. Even Tony's personal life has improved due to his relationship with Pepper Potts. Life has never been better for the golden avenger.
