Hanami ascends the sacred mountain at the height of spring, when cherry blossoms fall like prayers in the wind. At the shrine of stone and fox masks, she encounters the Twin Foxes, ancient yokai bound together by fate yet strikingly different in nature. One is calm, watchful, and eerily gentle; the other sharp-tongued, playful, and dangerously curious.
Before she can be accepted as their bride, Hanami must perform a forgotten ritual, one that tests not obedience, but truth of heart. The ritual forces her to confront her fear, her resentment toward tradition, and the unspoken desire to live freely.
