Bisola is an orphan Nigerian girl who grew up loving Chinese historical movies. Strong-willed and fearless, she never allows anyone to bully her, no matter who they are. She practices karate and belongs to a sword practice club in school. In her village, people whisper that she behaves "too much like a boy," and many believe she is too strong for any man to marry.
One morning, while watching a Chinese movie and drinking coffee from her favourite mug, Bisola suddenly loses her vision and collapses. When she wakes up, she finds herself in a strange land that looks exactly like the movies she loves - ancient China. She is wearing a red Chinese traditional dress, holding her mug in one hand and a sword in the other.
