What The Shadows Remember

Aiden Hayes is one of the few survivors of a tragedy that destroyed his family. Even as a child, suffering followed him endlessly, one cruel event after another shaping the person he would become. Yet within the darkness, Aiden eventually found a Faint light - a reason to keep moving forward. He learned to accept the pain of his past and turned it into strength, believing that if he became powerful enough, he could protect himself and the people he loved.

But every light eventually fades.

As monsters emerge from the shadows and even humans begin to interfere with his life, Aiden is dragged deeper into a world filled with violence, betrayal, and loss. The stronger he becomes, the more pieces of himself begin to disappear. The warmth in his heart slowly turns cold, and the person he once was begins to fade beneath the weight of power and suffering.

In the end, Aiden realizes that strength comes with a price.
