When 39-year-old Patrick Stump is electrocuted by a live wire during a Fall Out Boy concert, his heart stops three times before paramedics manage to stabilize him. His sister Samantha, who has an intellectual disability, anxiety, and depression, witnesses the horrifying accident and struggles to cope as her protective older brother fights for his life. Over the following days in the hospital, Patrick battles through excruciating burn treatments, haunting nightmares of dying repeatedly, and the long road to recovery while his bandmates Pete, Joe, and Andy refuse to leave his side.
