Ayherwiramna: the People of the Snow and the Mountains

A clan closely related to the Omatikaya, who were forced to withdraw hundreds of years ago at the hands of Sky People attempting to subvert their people in the forests. When they shifted to the plains, the Sky People found them there too. When they attempted to join with the Metkayina in the bays, the Sky People's presence harmed the union of these two clans, and there was no space for the involuntary nomads to stay with the Metkayina any longer.

Forced into the snow-capped peaks of the mountains, the Ayherwiramna found their permanent home. In the perilous habitat, Sky People would never find them, let alone destroy them.
The Ayherwiramna were perfectly hidden. Perfectly safe.

That is, until Teyra, Tsahik of the Ayherwiramna, is summoned to the strangest sight the people have experienced in their hundreds of years of isolation:
The arrival of many ikran, bearing a small group of Omatikaya and Metkayina, some of them demon-blooded with four fingers. And worst of all- they are fleeing an entirely different demon in itself. Colonel Quaritch born of the Sky People, whose sole purpose is to hunt down the leader of the new arrivals, Jake Sully, and to lay waste to any Na'vi civilisation he encounters just to gain his revenge.

Teyra has never felt such urgency, such fear, such deep excitement and desire, as her role as spiritual leader of the Snow People grows from protecting her own against outsiders, to falling in love with the outsiders, perhaps even betraying her own for these demon-blooded infiltrators... whether on the side of the peace-bearing Omatikayan and Metkayinan Jake Sully, or on the side of the clanless, ruthless Quaritch...
