Manhattan Cafe thought she'd seen her share of strange. But this?

She stood frozen near the shrine, watching a guy ride past on what-she had to admit-looked like a weirdly tall, skinny donkey. He wore a bright red sweatshirt, seamless pants, and gripped the reins while the animal bobbed its head, almost bored.

All Cafe could do was stare and mumble, "What are those...?"
