Soren Alvarez learned early that love is only and always transactional.

Growing up in a broken house with a mother who chooses drugs over him, a father who he never knew, Soren becomes his own guardian. While other kids worry about homework and curfews, he worries about locked doors, the next time he'll eat, and surviving the night. His childhood disappears long before he's ready to let it go.

Then he meets Mikhail Volkov - A cold and rude individual who doesn't care about anything or anyone but himself and power but after laying eyes on Soren those things all become worthless.

But when you grow up too fast, it's hard to remember how to be young... and even harder to believe you deserve something better.
