The Black "Sheep"

In a world where people gained the power to call upon their ancestry and summon themselves a familiar, an ethereal animal to represent them and grant powers, Lola Cattle heads to her first day in a private school, to attend the ritual that will decide her near and far future; whether she sit at the bottom of the food chain as the rest of her family has, hidden in shame of their own capabilities on this world where blood is everything; or whether she will rise the ranks and far above the sky itself.

Or perhaps her past will catch up to her, the things she'd endured will again bite and claw at her very soul. Until it withers into a twisted mirror of her reality. Until she removes herself from this system and devours it piece by piece in a rampage of never-ending hunger spoken of by myths of centuries in the past.
