Shadows and Waltzes

Hogwarts is abuzz with excitement: a grand charity ball, reminiscent of the Yule Ball, is to be held in the dungeons-a rare event meant to unite the students of all houses. But when Hermione Granger, top of her class and fiercely independent, finds herself without a date, the last person she expects to escort her is Severus Snape, Potions Master and Head of Slytherin.

Assigned by Dumbledore, Snape must face the challenge of guiding both Gryffindor and Slytherin students through dance lessons-a task that leaves him uncomfortably close to Hermione. As the two navigate awkward lessons, teasing classmates, and unexpected moments of vulnerability, a connection begins to form that neither of them can ignore.
