Sonic used to have a normal, happy life, but things somehow turned upside down for him when he was assaulted, which caused him to lose his only friend/rivals. Forced into witness protection and disappeared entirely.
Five years later, Sonic felt like a bad omen had been trailing him since that day, bringing nothing but misfortune throughout his life. Just when he believed his life couldn't get any worse, the bad omen revealed itself not as a curse but as someone whose only goal was to make him his and his only.
