The Nexus Chronicles: Invasion

The Unified Terran League frontier world Argon was a peaceful planet with a stable economy and a small industrial might, mainly exporting excise food and rare minerals. One day however when a new planetary governor backed by local corporations take control everything changed, the mostly equal focused colony suddenly veering towards more a more industry and corporation focus. Taxes were raised, more corner cutting factories and mines opened, inflation skyrocketed, pays decreased, and any protests were violently put down by private security and military forces. The local garrison of soldiers from the U.T.L did nothing as its command structure was corrupted as well, many commanding officers being bribed to stay out of it and even block all outgoing communication minus military and government. Two years of this passed by a group known as the Wolves arrived on the planet by unknown means but began to train a local rebel force strong enough to challenge the local government, slowly wedeling down the private armies through raids and infiltration missions until finally a massive uprising occurs. The local U.T.L Garrison didn't even get a chance to deploy as their facility was blown up several bomb, the capital quickly falling with the garrison. 30 years later the planet is under new governance under the banner of the Argon Confederacy and guarded by the Argon Defense Force. The Wolves remain, helping the planet remain free and safe. Now many factories and mines lay abandoned, the planet almost returning to the same as before the new governor took over. Everything was fine, everything was great, the U.T.L not even bothering to send a fleet to deal with them. Everything looked like it'd remain peaceful, remain good.........that was until orbital satellites and the newly built A.D.F space station detected three unknown ships entering the system.
