As my vision began to fade and practically lost all my hearing at this point of blacking out I saw a blurred figure rushing to me and I could tell they were shouting but considered I was on the edge of passing out I couldn't hear much but muffled words that sounded awfully like help.

I was just laying down on my bed, cuddled up with a book, when I heard a faint creak on the stairs. The sound was muffled seeing as the door was shut, but I heard it nevertheless. My eyes wandered to the door and I tried to be as silent as possible in my attempt to locate another sound. My body was tense, but relaxed when I didn't hear another noise.
