She's a wreck.
Mia Rose has little going for her, and that unfortunately isn't an understatement. Although she's one year away from graduating, she has no plan of what she wants to do after school. She has no interest in getting any job or saving any money-unless it's to buy blunts. Her grades are less than failing already, and the second semester has just started, and not to mention she's an outcast-she has barely anyone she can call a friend (excluding Kit, someone she's known since forever) because she is always pushing others away and refuses to be a nice person. She's less like the rose her name suggests and more like the thorns that come with it. She always has some sort of rumor that's being spread about her, and, worse than that, people like to take up making her life miserable as a hobby.
Without a stable household and the mother figure she's always wanted, she's lost, utterly and completely lost, and she's paying the price for her mother's bad choices everyday.
However, her sad excuse for a life suddenly turns interesting when she's seated next to someone she's never met before in her new class-someone who's never heard a rumor or whisper about her a day in his life.
His name is Ethan Reed, and at first she just sees him as someone she wants to sleep with, but he becomes so much more. She's never met a selfless and caring guy like him, and now she's hooked.
But she tries so hard to fight these feelings, and, in the process, harms their relationships more than she ever thought she could.
Soon, she promises him and herself to become a better person, and, slowly, one step at a time, Mia Rose blossoms into the best version of herself, and everyone sees it.
And by the time the seven planets align again, she's grown more than she would have ever imagined.
