A chance meeting at Christmas helps Tamara and Miles discover that they have much more in common than either of them thought.
Miles Penn helps out at a shelter for women and children who have been victims of domestic violence. Tamara is studying social sciences at university. They happen to meet at the shelter on Christmas with the same goal, to make Christmas a good one for all the residents of the shelter.
Set in Season 7 of The Rookie, Tim and Lucy are on a breakup and their feelings are undeniable. A situation involving Tamara and Miles will help them resolve their own situation.
