This story is about a girl, Andromeda whose world is turned upside down when she figures out that she doesn't belong in the world she lives in. She lives on a planet that has stopped rotating and hence only receives light from its star on one side. The people on the bright side have built a mysterious magic wall to keep the people on the dark side locked up, after series of wars. She finds out the truth and doesn't take it down well. She goes into a coma for 3 days and hence wakes up and finds herself in a dungeon. She is lost and hence tries to get out but is always unsuccessful. This story shows the struggles of not fitting in. And also shows a bit of strength a women can have when it comes to adaptation.

She was on her way to the spaceport, to board a shuttle that would take her to one of the spacecrafts that will carry all the humans off world... or so she thought. Instead, she was brought to a remote location, doomed to be left on earth, alone and miserable. Now, years later, she's ready to face the wilderness together with her "kidnapper". From here on, it's not about "what" she finds, but "how" she finds herself. Left behind is a short story that tells about a successful woman who's destiny is different than what she thought. In a mass-eviction of a doomed earth, she's the one left behind. She has to cope with things she never would have thought she would.
