19-year-old Howie has everything he imagined for himself at this age: a starter position on the college hockey team of his dreams, a beautiful girlfriend who loves him dearly, decent enough grades. But all it took was a few seconds to change everything.

After an unfortunate, disastrous car accident, Howie was left with career-ending injuries... And a new heart. In addition to adjusting to a new life at college, he now has to navigate a new life without hockey-his lifelong love-and new tastes and emotions he had never quite felt before.

Among them is a longing and budding love for his donor's girlfriend, Saria. Pretty, kind, and far too understanding, Saria acted as an extra crutch for Howie to use while healing from this life-shattering accident. But was she just being kind or was she flirting? Did he enjoy her company simply for the emotional support or was it something stronger? Is he falling in love with her... Or is it just the memories of the heart's original owner longing for his soulmate?

While working hard to get his life and career back on track, Howie has to continuously ask himself and figure out one burning question: is he falling in love with the girlfriend of the man who gave him his new heart? And are these feelings his own, or that of their precious owner?
