Elena, a struggling citizen with two jobs, is currently trying out a new hobby, painting. However, such an art isn't as easy as the shimmering pixels on her phone suggest. But Elena here is a very hardworking person, and so, she continues practicing her skills (or lack thereof) by painting numerous portraits from either her family or historical ones.
One day, after she punches a hole through another one of her failed paintings, she storms off from her studio. To her surprise, a pale and uneasy stranger stands in her path, one devoid of any facial features. A being that is barely keeping itself together.
It, naturally, asks for a portrait.

Naomi wasn't the type to believe in God or Heaven, not completely because of the Catholic view of homosexuality - but that definitely supported her mindset of atheism.
The arrival of Lauren into her life with a flash of green eyes and a lingering scent of lavender gave Naomi an almost automatic change of heart.
Because if this girl wasn't an angel - then nothing was.
There was no way Naomi was going to let someone so ethereal slip through her - undoubtedly unworthy - fingers. She was just a bit selfish like that.
