The Cull

This tradition has been going on for centuries.

Each district must send two representatives without fail. They are cast into the monster's lair a place where warriors are made or remains are left behind.

This is where it's decided: are they warriors who will prevail, or just more sacrifices that keeps the bloodshed going? Their fate is no longer in the hands of the law. It is only in their own.
