Alex Sternberg thought she knew what to expect from her exchange year in Tennessee: yellow school buses, oversized football stadiums, and maybe a few cheeseburgers, you know the most Stereotypical things.

She didn't sign up for the pure madness of the Svenssen household, where mornings are a battle for survival and her host sister, Tove, is a hurricane.

But when a prank with the fire alarm goes wrong, Alex finds herself at the center of a much darker story. Rumors are spreading like wildfire about a "Bunny" haunting the school's theater room.

Is it just a ghost story to scare freshmen? Or is the Principal hiding a secret?
Between navigating high school drama, "Student of the Year" corruption, and a group of friends who are more like a disaster squad, Alex has to decide: Is she just a visitor in this town, or is she the only one brave enough to unmask the truth?
