Every season bleeds into the next in some way. As winter magic melts away, spring magic blooms. As spring magic withers, summer magic begins to glow. As summer magic dims, autumn magic soars. And as autumn magic falls, winter magic starts to freeze. It's the way it's always been.

Until autumn doesn't arrive.

Even as October dawns, summer magic is just as strong as ever, yet the autumn magicians see no increase in their powers. The answer seems obvious. Something is very wrong in the spirits' realm, and summer is desperately trying to prevent something cataclysmic. It must be.
