Dalilah the discarded daughter of a Baron. Her father betroths her to his friend a viscount as his 5th wife despite the fact he has sons older than she is. The union was doomed from the start but nefarious circumstances place her in the hands of traffickers. Her sheltered life could never have prepared her to survive this.

Aldis is the war lords trusted Shamon. Trade has been halted between the human lands forcing the war lord to step away. Having to keep control over his people and maintain a power balance with the elders would be easier if his thoughts were not troubled by his missing sister. She vanished along with her babe and no scout or wolf has found them. His people grow worried as word of other tribes have similar stories of females vanishing and trades being cut off. No one wants to say it but war lingers in the horizon.
