Relationships in the hero industry tend to be rocky, this you knew. You thought the bond you had was unshakable, but even high school sweethearts hit a bump in the road eventually when the world has other plans in store for them.

Katsuki met every aspect of his life with a ferocious tenacity many couldn't keep up with, but you'd met his fierceness with an equal amount of firepower until an accident took everything away from you and that intensity died.

Two souls fragile and broken, separated by devastation you couldn't bare anymore. You moved away, and left everything behind, including your heart and your emotions.

Katsuki never meant to hurt you, and for the last 5 years he's paid the price.

Seeing you again meant there was a chance he could put things right, your return home being the only thing he cared about.. but when he finds out the truth behind your return, his world shatters.

There's a whole other side to hero work you'd had to face alone, the truth a stark reminder of the kind of evil in the world.

And he vows to protect you from that harm again, and you vow to never make the same mistake twice.
