Twilight's Bride

The year 3055 was the hardest year any one on earth, dead or alive has ever seen. We tried our best to reverse global warming and our heavy carbon footprints but nothing helped. We were too far gone. We had already destroyed our planet too much and Mother Nature was finally cleansing herself of yet another species, just as she did with the dinosaurs, she was going to give us a great big catastrophic event that wiped out all of human kind. The only good thing humans did were preparing for that time. They had already done hundreds of years of research on the nearest inhabitable planets and had even sent astronauts to the ones that they could just to test their theories. We all saw it coming before it ultimately came and thank God we were prepared. This was my story of how it happened.
