Mr Neil Thomas is a high-school English teacher who works during the busy days and reads students' stories to get through the lonely nights. At 28, he has given up hope of finding love or something exhilarating.

On a rainy evening, the news headlines caught his attention as the third person went missing in Langley Town. The odd peculiarity is that the names are the same as those mentioned in Ivy Brooks' stories.
