Enid only looked back at me, our eyes meeting as she hit me with that impossibly bright smile.

Autumn was nearing, the air changed it was colder than two weeks ago when I should have taken her here. The blonde dipped a cautious toe into the water, I could see it in the way her body responded that the water must have been freezing. Yet she only laughed softly.

"It's freezing in there isn't it?" I asked mid giggle, knowing damn well it was. When she looked at me I folded my arms pretending that I was in a way angry with her decision - I wasn't. I admired it, yet I tried to keep our little game going, "Right now it is significantly colder than it would have been a few weeks ago."

Enid simply shrugged, not giving me much to work with as she threw back, "I think I'll survive."
