Raine Rosaline Forrest, is definitely not your average girl. She gets excellent grades, and is very beautiful, but on the other hand, she has very few friends, and suffers from depression. Often, she is ostracized, bullyed, and even attacked by people at her very school for being who she is. She can't help who she is, she was just born with it, and she's most certainly not changing it for anybody. But what is she? Raine Forrest is a hermaphrodite. This means that she has both male, and female reproductive organs. She's now an 11th grader, and she frequently asks herself how she made it through elementary and middle school. But now, Raine has another problem. She's developing feelings for her best friend since 5th grade, and complete opposite, Courtney. Faced with this new challenge, and many more, Raine must decide her friends, someone to hold and to cherish, and her future.
