This story is based on the Lovegrove Legacy series, in which most of the girls are debutants and quite a lot of them are witches. Most of the men are in high society are Keepers, they keep the witches safe from the evil creatures and advise them on how to defeat the evil in their world. Most keepers marry one of the debutants and live happily ever after with their wives.

Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles seem to have not been told about that last part though, and fall in love with each other. What happens when one of them is killed protecting a witch?
