Penelope never really felt the joy of childhood. But whenever she had the chance, she'd be caught reading a book or staring out a window daydreaming. Whenever she was free she'd help Miss Kane teach the little kids about Earth, Penelope always admired the way Miss Kane talked about Earth and it's wonder's, and she couldn't help but wonder if maybe one day...she could make it to Earth(and bring Miss Kane along). Penelope's parents were floated when she was about 9 years old for the crime of theft. They were caught stealing medication for Penelope because she has one black lung, meaning she's only depending on one lung for oxygen. She's always wanted to smell the fresh air, see animals and the trees on Earth, just like how Miss Kane described. That was until Penelope got locked up for electrocuting Commander Shumway (she was caught stealing medicine for herself when they caught her) and now she's been in lock up for about 1 year.
