But when the portal both kills him and brings out the cat meta gene he didn't know he had, he discovers he's a catboy in both ghost and human forms. Now his parents think he's a ghost no matter what form he's in, and with every terrible day that goes by, he's treated a little more like the animal (monster) his parents think he is.

Haunted, Not Broken
After his friends and family almost get blown up by Dan, Danny decides to come clean to his parents. It goes well... until it doesn't. After escaping from the GIW, Danny heads north. After all, it will be much easier to hide from the GIW at the North Pole - thank you, ice core! Death Of Danny Fenton
Danny is proclaimed "dead" by his parents after passing out from exhaustion after a long drawn out fight with a ghost. Do too his ghost half being unstable it causes his human half to appear deceased. Danny slipped into a comatose state and his ghost half glitched. Afraid that Danny may turn into a ghost like the ones they had been fighting they made a special coffin for him and they put deep in the ocean. Anyone who asked was told that they had held a private funeral and there was a fake grave with Danny's headstone on it as well. Someone finds the coffin, someone bat-like.
