The school podium speakers crackled to life from the auditorium, cutting through the din: "Attention all students. Emergency announcement. Tune into your classroom TVs for the news immediately. This is not a drill."Every screen flickered on, blasting the same urgent broadcast. Reporters' faces filled the displays, voices grave.

Yn sat frozen at her desk by the window, her backpack slumped beside her like a defeated shadow. Her dark eyes fixed on the TV.
