EVENTS IN THE SHADOW

PROLOGUE -
Michael tells his cousin Riley about the mysterious death cases in New York. Since he and his team have been unable to solve these cases, he asks for Riley's help. New York is where Riley spent most of his life, so he accepts the offer without hesitation and heads there.

Riley and Michael begin investigating the cases together. However, as Riley dives deeper into the files, he notices something disturbing in one of them after spending two weeks in the city.

Meanwhile, Miko's paternal relatives in New Jersey tell her about similar cases of sudden disappearances. Knowing her profession, they ask for her help to uncover the truth. The offer lingers in Miko's mind until she finally decides to go there and solve the mystery.

Exhausted from the investigation, Riley takes a two-day break to visit his family in England. His flight is just about to board when he suddenly spots an old high school friend-Miko.

They both recognize each other instantly. In that moment, Riley changes his plans entirely. He makes Miko an offer: "What do you say we solve this mystery together?"
Miko accepts.

But... neither of them can predict how this case will truly end.
