Above the Spin Cycle

Life hasn't exactly gone according to plan for Lucy Chen. At just 24, she's a mother of three-Malakai, 9, Luca, 7, and Dylan, 5-and she's been raising them on her own since she was a teen. Between balancing a demanding job as a military sergeant and keeping her tiny studio apartment above a Bronx laundromat livable, Lucy's days are long, her nights short, and her patience even shorter.
