It was a miracle Ivelisse (Ivy) Williams hadn't been expelled, in fact, she would argue it was a miracle she had even made it this far.
It was rumored by most of the student populace that she only consumed monster and cigarettes, and if sarcasm was an Olympic sport...Ivy wouldn't require an education at all.
(Not that she really acquired one, preferring instead to sleep through most of her classes, or, on a good day, simply ignore the professors entirely.)

Vivian L'monage didn't want to be a teacher. She had a family empire to run, and barely tolerated being a university professor - 20 whatever year old's were bad enough.
She had taken the open position of Literature professor at Oakwood High for the sole reason that the headmistress was an old acquaintance she owed a favour, and planned to be out the minute the school found someone else for the position.

Finally in her last year of school... Ivy Williams would rather die than be controlled. Vivienne L'monage, determined to create a class of elite academics, refuses accept anything less than complete obedience.
