When Gabriel said this, it was to give a warning. Yet, he never imagined those words would come back to bite at him as well.

There was only one rule in Heaven that stood above all else. Even more than war and obedience: nothing stood between an angel and its mate. It was a celestial law, a duty, one of the most undeniable among his kind, something he hadn't thought about ever since he left Heaven, his brothers and everything he was created for. When he realized a common human girl could see his wings - mistaking them for cosplay, no less - he knew he was doomed.

But Gabriel found so much more than his mate.
