Rain to muddy puddles.
Love to murky troubles.
I find my way on a rainy day.
A play all wet.
I am terribly upset.
No glee under a tree.
To wait until I am not wet.
I sigh as the leaves dry.
My clothes are soaking wet.
I try not to fret.
I place my new clothes in a set,
My old I threw in a backpack,
Now caught in a net.
Now I am clean and dry.
My shoes I tie.
I rest until the rain does die.
Now I know a play to write.
Inky smears,
I sigh at the tears.
To all my fears,
To the ones I love,
Even to die,
I am writing this new play-
Titled: The Rain Killed It
But Love Lives
To Tell Another Story,
And evenly I cry.
