Brian didn't mean to choose her house. He just needed somewhere quiet to take his medication and wait for the shaking to stop. Serena Shire wakes to movement inside her home and finds a stranger in a yellow hoodie bleeding onto her floor, exhausted and terrified of something he won't fully explain. He swears he isn't dangerous and begs her not to call the police - not because of him, but because of what might still be outside.

After that night, things begin to change. Her cameras record when they're unplugged. Doors unlock after she locks them. She loses minutes, then hours, and finds herself standing in rooms she never walked into. Brian tells her to ignore it, to stop watching the recordings, but the footage keeps appearing and Serena realizes she isn't the only person being pulled into this. She begins encountering others connected to him, each one carrying pieces of a story no one will say out loud.

What started as helping a stranger turns into paranoia, missing time, and a presence that grows closer the more she notices it. Brian says some things don't leave once they've found you. And now that it knows her, the house doesn't feel like hers anymore and whatever is watching doesn't care who it was meant for first.
