Thomas suffers severe anxiety. It watches his every move, it judges and decides his every action. It's become the little voice in the back of his mind, talking as though it were a separate person. The more stressed Thomas is, the more active the voice, whom he has named Uriah, becomes. When it comes to a big math test, Uriah won't leave him alone.
This piece is a statement on clinical anxiety, and attempts to capture the random yet overwhelming feeling thousands of teens suffer every day.
