To Catch a Spider (Spider-Man)

Being Spider-Man has never been easy.

Some months after the Mysterio fiasco, and the attack on London, Peter Parker returns to his normal life just in time for his last year of school. Identity still secret, Peter fights through college plans, school projects, and his life with friends and family. Everything is as it should be...

Until a thief bearing strange powers attacks a research institution one night, and is the harbinger of a bigger threat. Peter's normalcy unravels yet again as he balances life as Peter Parker with his life as Spider-Man, tracking down what the public has labeled as "The Magenta Ghost".

At school, he deals a new problem in the form of a newly arrived student with a cold demeanor, rude behavior, and heartless attitude, who chooses to push down those around him in order to get by. And when Peter meets a struggling student, sinking in the weight of her own problems, he comes to learn that being a hero is more than just swinging in to save somebody from a near death experience.

Peter finds himself dodging an enemy seeking Spider-Man, and seeking to uncover his true identity. Dodging the Magenta Ghost who goes from thief to hunter, dodging nightmares, and dodging the horrifying possibility that the peace he'd scraped to have and clung desperately onto, could be torn apart...

This is set in MCU's Spider-Man storyline, but with an altered version where Mysterio didn't reveal Peter's identity to the world. It's a AU, and a story of my own, but follows after the main story of "Spider-Man: Homecoming" and "Spider-Man: Far From Home".

The story is a Spideychelle story (Peter and MJ), but with focus on plenty of the other characters.

I own nothing here aside from any OC's and concepts I add.
