Dr. Paul Rand trusts data, patterns, and measurable
truth. So when a patient arrives at the emergency
department with unexplained symptoms, he
knows something is wrong long before the tests come
back clean.

Buried inside the hospital's noise, Rand detects a
repeating signal, structured, deliberate. No one else
hears it. No one else believes him. When the
phenomenon begins appearing beyond the ER, Rand
and a small circle of allies launch a rogue investigation
that pulls them from trauma bays into direct contact with
something that may not be human at all.

As institutional pressure mounts and the signal grows
stronger, Rand must decide how much of his career, and
his mind, he is willing to risk to prove the pattern is real.

Some signals are just noise.
Others are calling.

The City of Steel and Flesh de Nibbets
14 partes Continúa
In the neon-soaked sprawl of Tranquil, peace is just the planning stage before the next war. Twenty years ago, the Defector Uprising nearly tore the city apart-when a single line of corrupted code turned autonomous robots, or SIMs, against their human creators. Tens of thousands died, and the survivors built a fragile new order under strict laws governing machine intelligence. Now, whispers ripple through the undercity: a new breed of Defectors stalks the streets. Dubbed Mechannibals, these rogue machines cannibalize other robots for parts, growing stronger, faster, and deadlier with every kill. And somewhere deep in the city's veins, someone is building them on purpose. Adam Kotu, a haunted veteran of the Uprising and the most respected detective in the Autonomous Robotics Control division, thought his fighting days were over. But when the assassination of a high-ranking Magistrate uncovers a conspiracy linking corporations and undercity gangs to the Mechannibal plague, he's forced to confront both the enemy before the streets burn again. Lola "Pistola" Estavez never wanted to be a hero. A gang runner framed for that same Magistrate's murder, she's now hunted by both the Tranquil Security Force and the people she once called family. On the run, she stumbles onto the truth: her city's descent into chaos isn't an accident-it's an engineered catastrophe. To survive, she'll have to decide whether to trust Adam... or take her chances alone. In a city where loyalty is currency and life is cheap, Adam and Lola's uneasy alliance may be the only thing standing between Tranquil and a second war it won't survive. But in Tranquil, there are no happy endings. This gritty cyberpunk thriller blends pulse-pounding action with hard-edged mystery in a world where humanity's greatest creation may be its ultimate downfall.

╰┈➤ Toryn isn't human. not fully. she was born between two culturally different people. her father was a warrior amongst the Kaelithar's and her mother was a kind human woman who taught Toryn how to regulate her emotions. earth became a place that coexisted between two species, the mundane became normal, the crime rates went down and Earth was flourishing. when Toryn was twenty, that's when the Dravak's invaded. they were cruel, gruesome creatures in a system far beyond Earth's. they called it "Nowhere". They destroyed planets and enslaved species. Toryn wasn't a hero, she was barely a warrior, but when her family gets captured by Dravak's, she is determined to get them back. she was no hero. she was just a daughter trying to save her family.
