When We Fall

War, hunger sickness has ravaged the world, and those left are struggling to survive. Rafferty Greer has lost everything he ever cared about. Now after being caught from the local militia, he's forced to make a choice: either suffer from his consequences or work for those he despises. Reluctantly choosing the latter, Rafferty is brutally attacked by renegades and left for dead.

Left to fend for herself, unsure of the reasons why, Everly Sloane has been completely isolated from the rest of the world, fearing for her life as the monsters of the apocalypse, known as The Grund, prowls her property. When she discovers Rafferty, outside her home, severely injured, she decides to aid him.

As Rafferty begins his recovery, the two slowly become attached, though Rafferty fears that his past crimes will catch up with him, endangering Everly.
