The audio went quiet for a while. Background noise. Music playing softly. Nothing unusual. I almost marked it as a non-issue.
Just as I was about to close the file, there was a knock - faint but clear - and the woman groaned in annoyance before walking to the door.
I heard it open.
Then she screamed.My entire body went rigid.
Men's voices filled the recording - rough, loud, chaotic - followed by crashing sounds like a struggle. Something heavy fell. Another muffled cry cut through the noise before everything went eerily quiet.
The music stopped abruptly.
A man's voice spoke clearly: "Let's clean up."
The audio ended.I stared at my screen, frozen.
