An early new hope

Five years after the fall of the Jedi and the rise of the Empire, the desert world of Tatooine remains a place of exile, silence... and buried destiny. The Jedi Order is gone. The Republic is dust. When the Inquisitors track rumors of a surviving Jedi to the Outer Rim, the hunt reaches the Lars homestead. The Third Sister, Reva Sevander, arrives not as a mindless servant of the Empire, but as a woman torn between vengeance and truth. The confrontation is swift and brutal. Owen and Beru fight fiercely to protect Luke-and this time, they survive. Reva uncovers the secret she has long suspected: the boy is the son of Darth Vader.

But she does not strike him down.

Haunted by her past and unwilling to become the monster she once hated, Reva turns away from the darkness. She spares the child-and in doing so, severs her loyalty to the Empire. With the Inquisitors closing in and Vader sensing a tremor in the Force, Obi-Wan makes a choice he once believed impossible.
