The pair

Melcy is 16 and a girl who is very non-social, It's not that she would get bullied or anything- it's just that she preferred to not talk to people she doesn't know since she didn't believe she fit into all the different stereotypes inside of the groups all around the school. Her mother had been deployed far away for business so Melcy would have to go home every day with her pet cat Rosie. She was used to this since elementary. She'll always have headphones in listening to her favorite playlist to disturb her from all the background noise.

Maihem is quiet like Melcy, however instead of her mother being deployed somewhere, her mother had died from an accident, so she lives alone with her father, who isn't a great one. Maihem is usually the one to take care of everything around the house. During school she's silent, never wanting to start a conversation with anybody; during lunch she would go off campus to a little cafe to sit in the back and read a book while her favorite drink- and just like Melcy- wherever you see Maihem, she will be wearing her red headphones. Not even during class would she take them off (teachers allowed her to wear them as long as she finished her work). Nobody ever wanted to talk to her because of how rude she looked, so people would usually steer away from Maihem; which she didn't care about at all.

The two go through high school experiencing loneliness, anxiety, and fear as the year goes on and it begins to get worse as the year goes on. But one day they bump into each other after Melcy gets her class switched over to the same one as Maihem and even sits right next to her! What will happen when two socially awkward people are assigned a project together and have to endure all that high school throws at them together?
