Just homeboys

K2 and Jeremiah have been close since they were little the kind of close where everybody just assumes they'll always be side by side. They grew up on the same block, walked to school together, played ball at the same park, and told each other things they wouldn't tell anybody else. If one of them was in trouble, the other wasn't far behind. They weren't just friends they were family.

They always told everybody They're "just homeboys" and that's all it had ever been. At least that's what they told themselves.

But as they start getting older, things begin to feel different. The looks last a little longer. The jokes hit a little deeper. The space between them feels smaller somehow. One of them starts to notice that it's not just loyalty or brotherhood making his heart race when Jeremiah smiles or when K2 brushes against his shoulder. It's something else.. something new, confusing, and kind of scary.

Now he has to figure out what those feelings mean... and whether risking the strongest friendship he's ever had is worth telling the truth.
